Items in this category are marked down often lower than cost. As bb3 is a project and not a retail business, I do not put a lot of markup on my items if at all. It is impossible to get all of your time compensated with handmade products. A labour of love!
Mohair & merino fibers that I processed from raw (picked, washed, dyed) then carded together before spinning into this skein of yarn. I did a very light carding in order to keep some lock formation of the mohair. Spiral plied with silk. Dark purple to mauve-pink in color. 2-ply; 3.4oz; approx. 112yards; approx. 6wpi (super bulky)
This is a really fun yarn and the pictures do not do it justice! Yarn is comprised of cheviot sheep wool plied to tussah silk - also handspun. Since the tussah silk is thinner than the sheep wool, it makes this fun spiral design...(con't below) 2-ply; 2.7oz; approx. 126 yards; approx. 7wpi (bulky)
Destashing from my personal stash - I have so much handspun that I keep for myself and never get around to using! This is a romney (sheep wool) roving dyed by an indie dyer in New England. Handspun and plied on my Lendrum DT spinning wheel. Priced below the cost I paid for the roving. 2-ply; 2.8oz; approx. 100 yards; approx. 8wpi (bulky)
This 2-ply handspun yarn is comprised of cheviot & lincoln romney cross sheep wool. Fleece was hand processed from raw - picked, washed, dyed, carded and combed. Pretty purple/magenta mix of colors. Wool from small New England producers and processed in my home studio in Nova Scotia. 2-ply; 3.9oz; approx. 156 yards; approx. 7wpi (bulky)
Merino wool from a small Maine producer was processed from raw (picked, washed, dyed, carded, combed) to make this 2-ply yarn. Merino being as thick and dense as it is is not the easiest fleece to process from raw. Nevertheless I'd like to find this self-striping skein a new home. I thought the colors reminded me of gelato hence the name. 2-ply; 4oz;...
Cheviot wool hand processed from raw is dyed a mix of cherry & flame red then drum carded together with fawn colored alpaca & angelina fibers for subtle shimmer. Spun bulky on my SpinOlution wheel, then plied with a sequined gold thread to give it this awesome spiral.2ply; 3.1oz; approx. 64 yards; approx. 6 wpi (super bulky)
This ring is comprised of many small stone chip beads. Silver plated adjustable ring base. Experimental; old stock - heavily discounted (please note one issue with older stock is the ring base is not as shiny as it once was). Handmade in Canada.
Very cute and stylish turquoise chip semi-precious gemstone ring. Silver plated adjustable ring base. This is old stock so the ring base is not as shiny as it once was - discounted. I made a bunch of these rings but was unsure the best way to market them so they sat around for quite awhile. Hoping they will find new homes as this low price (I'm tempted to...
This yarn resembles what us spinners call tailspinning, but it is actually my 2-ply icelandic yarn with leicester longwool locks added in. I then dyed the entire skein a fun flamingo pink. All fleece from raw: washed, carded, spun & dyed. From small New England producers. This is a small skein that would be a great addition to a fiber project. 2ply;...
