This is a really fun yarn and the pictures do not do it justice! Yarn is comprised of cheviot sheep wool plied to tussah silk - also handspun. Since the tussah silk is thinner than the sheep wool, it makes this fun spiral design...(con't below) 2-ply; 2.7oz; approx. 126ards; approx. 7wpi (bulky)
Destashing from my personal stash - I have so much handspun that I keep for myself and never get around to using! This is a romney (sheep wool) roving dyed by an indie dyer in New England. Handspun and plied on my Lendrum DT spinning wheel. Priced below the cost I paid for the roving. 2-ply; 2.8oz; approx. 100ards; approx. 8wpi (bulky)
This 2-ply handspun yarn is comprised of cheviot & lincoln romney cross sheep wool. Fleece was hand processed from raw - picked, washed, dyed, carded and combed. Pretty purple/magenta mix of colors. Wool from small New England producers and processed in my home studio in Nova Scotia. 2-ply; 3.9oz; approx. 156ards; approx. 7wpi (bulky)
Merino wool from a small Maine producer was processed from raw (picked, washed, dyed, carded, combed) to make this 2-ply yarn. Merino being as thick and dense as it is is not the easiest fleece to process from raw. Nevertheless I'd like to find this self-striping skein a new home. I thought the colors reminded me of gelato hence the name. 2-ply; 4oz;...
This is my typical "kitchen sink" yarn where I take various bits of wool I dyed and drum card it together with natural colored fibers and inclusions - in this case bits of recycled sari silk. Once carded into batts it is spun, only I found the color combo rather dull and flat once spun. I over-dyed it with various different shades of... (con't below)...
I processed this romney fleece from raw and it's a nice natural beige tone. It seemed a little flat, so I put it in the dye pot and injected several colors in various ares of the yarn and now it has some personality. Colors include pink, greens, yellows, periwinkle, & hues of blue. I would characterize this skein as bulky and moderate-coarse.2-ply;...
Corriedale sheep wool from Canadian producers. Spun from roving into a 2-ply yarn and then kettle dyed by injecting hues of blue in random sections of the yarn for a light and dark patch effect. A lofty bulky yarn.3.5oz; approx. 130yards; approx. 7wpi (bulky).
Very pretty color that I cannot describe any other way than a light coral. Corriedale sheep wool from Canadian producers. Spun from roving into a 2-ply yarn and then kettle dyed by injecting colors salmon, oranges, and reds in random sections of the yarn for a light and dark patch effect.3.9oz; approx. 144yards; approx. 7wpi (bulky).
A bulky yarn that is soft, light & lofty. Corriedale sheep wool from Canadian producers. Spun from roving into a 2-ply yarn and then kettle dyed by injecting different shades of purple in random sections of the yarn for a light and dark patch effect.4.2oz; approx. 160yards; approx. 7wpi (bulky).
I spun this 2-ply yarn after carding a batt that is is made up of natural angora fiber in cream color & fleece I dyed: pale pink/bubble gum pink sheep wool & alpaca fibers from hobby farmers in Nova Scotia; light pink angora (from a small new Hampshire producer); angelina fibers.4.2oz; approx. 272yards; approx. 9wpi (worsted).
Cheviot wool hand processed from raw is dyed a mix of cherry & flame red then drum carded together with fawn colored alpaca & angelina fibers for subtle shimmer. Spun bulky on my SpinOlution wheel, then plied with a sequined gold thread to give it this awesome spiral.2ply; 3.1oz; approx. 64 yards; approx. 6 wpi (super bulky)
This 2-ply yarn is made up of dyed wool roving with bits of silk from a New Hampshire supplier. I call it my "confetti" yarn due to the interesting bits carded throughout the wool. 3.2oz; approx. 156yards; approx. 8wpi
Beautiful white coopsworth sheep roving handspun with purple stacks. Coopsworth roving from a New Hampshire producer; purple processed and dyed by me from raw. Pricey due to quality of roving, but reduced as this skein served as practice for making stacks. Destash item, reluctant to let it go. 2ply; 5.3oz; approx 138 yards; approx. 6wpi
3 ply alpaca yarn, approx. 8 wpi (bulky); approximate yardage (see sizes in drop down). This roving was so gorgeous I couldn't resist. Beautiful, soft and PURE white! From Upstate NY producer. 3-ply. Pricier product as it is spun from roving instead of raw fiber. Handspun, hand plied, washed/fulled. Ships from Canada to Canada/US only. International...

This yarn resembles what us spinners call tailspinning, but it is actually my 2-ply icelandic yarn with leicester longwool locks added in. I then dyed the entire skein a fun flamingo pink. All fleece from raw: washed, carded, spun & dyed. From small New England producers. This is a small skein that would be a great addition to a fiber project. 2ply;...
